Moral Depravity

Remember when Rep. Gabby Giffords was seriously wounded by a deranged gunman in Arizona and almost twenty people in her audience were killed or wounded? Remember how the media insisted on blaming "incendiary rhetoric" from Rush Limbaugh as well as a graphic by Sarah Palin's campaign that had crosshairs over the congressional districts of congresspersons that were targeted for defeat by the GOP?

Remember how the media went into a swivet over Tea Party rallies which the media was sure would incite terrorist violence by fearsome Tea Party villains such as these:

More recently, do you recall how the media blasted Donald Trump for creating an environment of hostility toward journalists when Greg Gianforte, a Montana candidate for Congress, visited a noogie upon a reporter at a campaign event?

Well, I wonder who the left will blame now for the disgusting photo made by an unfunny comedienne named Kathy Griffin who thought it humorous to hold up a realistic looking model of the severed head of Donald Trump.

This is not the first time that leftists have graphically represented the murder of a Republican president, of course. There was a movie made about assassinating George Bush, and demonstrators during his presidency carried posters like this:

Fortunately, a lot of liberals, including Chelsea Clinton, are condemning Griffin's depraved attempt at "art," but the question remains, if the rhetoric of talk radio hosts and politicians like Sarah Palin has been responsible for triggering horrific acts of violence, what should we think of people like Griffin, and what is the climate among her friends and associates that she would think that a photo of her holding Trump's severed head would be a knee-slapper at their gatherings? Update: Griffin's name should be placed in nomination for the Hypocrite of the Year award. After Representative Giffords and 18 others were shot in 2011 Griffin actually blamed Sarah Palin's map for the carnage. Amazing.
