The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics

From time to time we've talked about how physicists and mathematicians have expressed both surprise and wonder that the universe should be describable by mathematics. Nobel Prize winner Eugene Wigner wrote in a 1960 paper that "the effectiveness of mathematics is a miracle."
